With 25 years’ experience in the fresh produce industry managing farmland, vegetable packing plants and supply chain, Charlie has operated at every level of agri business. Delivering improved business performance scaling up high value crops into food service, wholesale and major supermarkets in the UK and EU. An experienced whole farm business manager, Charlie has led evaluation, land acquisition and business restructures driving efficiencies through centralisation and the integration of up to date technologies. Qualified in Agriculture and Farm Management from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Charlie is a lively communicator with a passion for investment. Stakeholder alignment, facilitation and turning around distressed projects he operates with ease at high and ground level. With experience in China, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Nigeria and Bangladesh his focus is Sri Lanka and SE Asia and spends 3 months a year in the region.
Charlie, once a jump jockey is an avid sports enthusiast and lives with his partner near Ely in Cambridgeshire.
An experienced agri specialist, Kiryon manages national business development for the UK’s leading crop protection company alongside managing farms in Scotland and Suffolk. A qualified biochemist from Imperial College, London, Kiryon has held senior management roles for leading multinational industry corporates operating large teams to deliver continual growth. Deploying practical farm management experience across the crop production industry gives Kiryon the inside track when combined with his technical expertise and innovative mind. An energised entrepreneur, he has successfully diversified all the farm businesses he has managed, to maximise all income streams. Operating at the cutting edge of crop production harnessing science and technical advancement means Kiryon is well placed to turn around poor performance.
Kiryon’s primary passion outside work is polo, including playing internationally and is married with two children. He lives in Suffolk and London.
Hadyn is an experienced agribusiness consultant from New Zealand with 18 years of hands on farm management, applied science and investment experience. Hadyn holds a Master of Science from Otago University, NZ and has deployed practical and scientific expertise across projects for New Zealand’s leading agri consultancy. His special interests are integrating innovation that impacts the economic performance and sustainability of farm businesses, especially in the areas of animal breeding/genetics and production system technology. Hadyn enjoys working with value-add investment opportunities so he can apply pragmatic solutions to problems and leverage his expertise to maximise returns and capital value of assets. Experienced in all areas of ag investing, Hadyn has worked on projects across the globe and is currently integrating UK AgTech initiatives into large scale cattle farming in Paraguay.
A keen sportsman with a passion for outdoor activity, Hadyn now lives in London, UK with his partner and daughter.
Nirosh De Mel
Nirosh, has been growing fruits & vegetables commercially in Sri Lanka for the last 21 years. From a long standing Sri Lankan farming family Nirosh has managed fresh produce businesses encompassing outdoor and indoor production winning the prestigious All Island Best Farmer Award 2011. Qualified with a BSc in Agriculture from Aberdeen University, Scotland and Masters in Horticulture & Floriculture from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka Nirosh combines his expertise and international network leveraging it to deliver improved production across many sectors. To date Nirosh has visited over 60 countries across the Globe in pursuit of new systems and technologies to integrate in to businesses within Sri Lanka. An FAO scholar, he has represented Sri Lanka on an International Global Gap Certification Seminar in Indonesia.
Nirosh lives in Sri Lanka with his wife and two children and enjoys music, photography and international cuisine.
Mateusz is from a farming family in Poland with an active involvement in the management of the unit. An academic, Mateusz is a Hult International Business School Graduate, an ESCP Europe Business School and University of Oxford Masters Graduate in Energy Management and Philosophy. He has just returned from India where he worked on the prestigious IDEX Fellowship scheme on behalf of Vrutti, a leading Global NGO. There he delivered strategies for knowledge transfer and empowering 130,000 small holder farmers. As a journalist, Mateusz has written reports focussing on agriculture and energy sectors in Africa and attended agri investing conferences across the globe. He brings to the team dynamic thinking, business development and the opportunity to view global food production through the eyes of a generation who are instrumental in shaping consumer trends and investment the world over.
Beyond agriculture Mateusz is passionate about entrepreneurship along with religions and lives in Poland.
